1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Talha Emirhan Boyraz, Aydos Cad. No: 45-47, Sancaktepe, İstanbul, Türkiye ("we", "us"). By installing the app, using AI editing or creating an account, you accept them. If you use Cosso for an organization, you confirm that you can accept them on its behalf.
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
2. The app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the Cosso app on your own computers. Dictation on your computer is free and doesn't need an account.
Don't sell, rent or redistribute the app, and don't reverse engineer it except where the law allows. Open-source components inside it are covered by their own licences.
3. AI editing, the trial and paid plans
AI editing sends your dictated text to our server and a language model, so it needs an internet connection. Each computer gets a free trial of 7 days or 30 edits, whichever ends first, without an account. After that, AI editing needs a paid plan; dictation keeps working. Paid plans have the daily limits shown on the pricing page; past a limit, Cosso types the on-device text instead of the edited one.
Paid plans can't be bought online yet. When they can, the price, billing period and renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before you pay, and those terms will apply to your purchase. Our payment provider will sell the plan to you as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles sales tax and appears on your receipt. The refund policy applies to every purchase.
Trying to reset the trial or get around limits, for example by faking device details, may lead us to block that device from AI editing.
4. Accounts and teams
Keep access to your email account secure, because that's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
A team's owner decides who is invited and is responsible for the team's use of Cosso. Owners and admins manage the team dictionary and instructions. A member who leaves or is removed loses access to the team's dictionary and plan.
5. Your content
What you dictate and the text Cosso returns belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to provide the service: to process dictated text for an edit, and to store and use your team's dictionary and instructions for your team's edits. We don't use your text to train models.
6. Check the output
Speech recognition and AI editing can mishear or miswrite words, including names, numbers, doses, dates and amounts. Read the text before you send or file it, especially in medical, legal and financial work. Cosso is a writing tool; it doesn't give medical, legal or financial advice.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Cosso:
- for anything illegal, or to dictate content that infringes someone else's rights;
- to probe, overload or break our server, or to use it other than through the Cosso app;
- to share sign-in or device tokens, or to resell access to AI editing;
- to send spam or abuse through the contact form or team invitations.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep AI editing available but can't promise it will always be. If an AI edit fails, the app types the text it recognized on your computer, so a dictation isn't lost.
We may change features, the language model or the server. The app downloads updates in the background and installs them when you choose; when an old version is no longer supported, it installs the update the next time it's idle.
9. Ending
You can stop using Cosso at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend AI editing for a device or account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why if we can reach you.
10. Warranty and liability
To the extent the law allows, Cosso is provided "as is", without warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update the date at the top. For a significant change, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Questions about these terms: [email protected].
